WHY RECYCLE YOUR LIQUID WASTES?
| |
 |
Save money and get fast
pay-backs on equipment |
| |
 |
Obtain higher quality solvents
with better reproducibility |
| |
 |
Reduce liabilities related to solvent storage
and waste disposal |
| |
 |
Make workplaces safer and cleaner |
| |
 |
Reduce and/or eliminate EPA record-keeping,
reporting and problems |
| |
 |
Comply with Government and Certification
requirements for waste reduction |
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION:
CBG solvent recycling units use
distillation (we offer both fractional and simple
distillation product lines) to obtain both
high purities and high recoveries.
With CBG solvent recyclers, the waste
liquid is boiled and the vapors are separated, purified and
cooled back to highly-pure liquids for
reuse. Solvent recycling units produce solvents
that can be used continuously at no
additional expense.
PURITIES
AND RECOVERIES FOR RECYCLED SOLVENTS
| |
 |
Purities, recoveries and
processing speeds can be adjusted
easily to your needs |
| |
 |
Purities as high as 99.8%;
recoveries as high as 99+% are
common |
| |
 |
Contaminant levels in water as
low as < 1 ppb (parts per
billion) |
SOLVENTS AND VOLATILE
CHEMICALS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED:
| |
 |
Xylene, toluene, and virtually
all other aromatic
hydrocarbons |
| |
 |
Mineral spirits, paint thinners
and other commercial solvents |
| |
 |
Hexane, octane and and aliphatic hydrocarbons |
| |
 |
Alcohols, glycols, esters, ethers,
phenols and cresols |
| |
 |
Acetone, MEK, and other ketones |
| |
 |
Chlorinated, fluorinated and
brominated hydrocarbons |
| |
 |
Freons, n-propyl bromide, and other
specialized solvents |
| |
 |
Formalin (formaldehyde) |
EXAMPLE OF CONTAMINANTS THAT ARE REMOVED:
| |
 |
Powders, particles,
dirt and other types of solid
contaminants |
| |
 |
Glues, pastes,
fluxes, paints and various coatings |
| |
 |
PCB’s, oils,
greases and waxes |
| |
 |
Cadmium, chromium,
lead, mercury and all other metal
salts |
| |
 |
Isotopes,
carcinogens, mutagens and other
hazardous chemicals |
CONCENTRATORS:
| |
 |
Even if a waste stream cannot be recycled, there may be great savings in reducing the waste volume to be disposed. |
| |
 |
A CBG Technologies unit may be used to remove a benign portion of the waste, such as water, which can be disposed of at no cost to the customer. |
| |
 |
The remaining concentrated waste will have a much lower volume and therefore a much lower disposal cost. |
