What Solvents Can Be Recycled?
Virtually any solvent or volatile chemical, having boiling points between 0°C and 300°C, can be recycled. Those solvents and chemicals that have boiling points less than 55-60°C require a chiller-condenser, while chemicals having boiling points higher than 155-220°C require vacuum distillation.
Commonly Recycled Solvents
Solvent distillation allows solvents be re-used over and over again in virtually every application.
No matter what industry or laboratory you are in, your solvents and volatile chemicals can be recovered through distillation technology. In the process, contaminants (resins, pigments, paints, inks, oils, etc.) are separated from the solvent and volatile chemicals. Recoveries of solvents often approach 99%, and the purities of the recovered solvents often approach 99.9%.
